Hi hi hi!
The most bloated day of the year is this Thursday and I am locking down my bloating techniques INSANELY right now. COOKING EATING AND STAYING UN-BLOATED.
& we all love to indulge on some cocktails and desserts during the holiday’s, don’t we? It’s well deserved.
So I, of course, am sticking my top ten tips into my daily routine to make for less bloating at all times – but especially around the holidays. THANKSGIVING – I.SEE.YOU.
You can subscribe to my email list anytime if you want my TOP TEN TIPS for daily debloat!
I can eat – for real. It’s a blessing and a curse all at the same time.
One year I ate so much food that I actually couldn’t take a nap on the couch until about two hours later when I was ( somewhat ) digested. My heartburn was REAL. I ate two full plates and dessert, then more. I shoveled food down the entire day with no time to even breathe. I have no idea why.. just one of those days I guess. Don’t we all have them???
I learned the hard way.
This year I’m coming in hot. I’ve come up with ways to help me still enjoy my holiday meals but totally not put myself into a food coma so I can still associate with people..
For me, these tips have always worked. They have become part of my lifestyle, so they’re pretty easy for me to fit into my Thanksgiving day routine. If you haven’t really tried any of these, give it a shot. I’ve seen myself come a long way with them.
Ready? Let’s do it.
Don’t skip breakfast
This one got me bad one year. I waited all day long on Thanksgiving to eat because I wanted to ‘save room’ for the dinner. NO. SO WRONG. Then you are practically dead and starving and you shovel everything you can into your throat at dinner. EAT BEFORE. See it as a normal day and you won’t explode at night. Hopefully.
Take a small plate for your meal
Seriously it actually helps I PROMISE. I don’t take the big plates anymore because my eyes are a lotttttt bigger than my tummy. I shove everything I can on my plate, so the smaller the better for me. Still makes me super full and my eyes are happy.
Drink water all day long!!!
GET STARTED EARLY. If you’re subscribed to my email list you know how I feel about this. Wake up and chug a glass then drink it allllll day long. Even if you are enjoying some wine or other drinks, get a water here and there. The difference it makes is huge.
Tell yourself you need room for dessert
GAME PLAN. I’m dead serious this works for me. If you tell your mind something, it usually listens.. no? I mean we are all in our own heads practically every single second of every single day telling ourselves things that aren’t true and giving ourselves anxiety. PLOT TWIST. Tell your mind you need room for dessert. Literally say it in your own head to yourself and you may feel less of an urge to keep eating other food.
Pay attention to your company
Talk to the people around you, enjoy them, take it in, and you’ll slow down while eating. Talking is huge huge huge for me while I eat so I know i’m not manhandling my food. It makes you slow down a ton. ASSOCIATE WITH THAT GREAT AUNT, IT’S GOOD FOR YOU.
Goodluck cutie patooties!!!! Any other tips are always welcome here!
