I’m fully committed to quick recipes.
Like, 120% all in. No joking around when it comes to these things.
I’m on the go a lotttt so quick, easy, healthy recipes are my thing.
I take salads to lunch with me all the time, but I was always over-dressing them with fattening dressings.
I never really realized this until after college – when I actually started to focus on my ingredients.
My ranch dressing with a side of salad quickly changed ( sigh ).
Now I make my dressings almost all the time – mostly because I basically just throw some type of vinegar on them.
I’m like overly obsessed with vinegar.
I drink apple cider vinegar almost daily. I pour a tablespoon into my lemon water in the morning. ( You can check out my obsession with hot lemon water here. SO.GOOD.FOR.YOU. )
I could literally drink it plain. It’s the weirdest thing.
Most of the recipes for dressings has you put more olive oil in than vinegar, but I do the opposite because I’m so obsessed.
It’s definitely got a kick to it & it doesn’t have all those crazy ingredients that dressings normally have.
I DRIZZLE THIS OVER MY SALAD & SAVE THE REST. IT HAS A STRONG TASTE.
1/2 cup of white vinegar ( I used distilled white vinegar )
1 tsp of olive oil – you actually switch these two around if you want a different base, I just love the vinegar
1 teaspoon of honey
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper ( I use like five pinches of pepper but whatever )
& of course – squeeze of a lemon
+ mix the vinegar and olive oil together in a small bowl
+ add the honey and mix it well
+ pinch of salt & pepper
+ squeeze a bit of a lemon in there – don’t overdue it though, just a quick squeeze will do ( especially if your salad or meal already has lemon on it )
I use it on my super easy pear salad.
As I mentioned earlier – vinegar is my go to, so feel free to leave any vinegar loving recipe comments or tips!
