( hot tub at BA’s fam bams house in Maine – so PRETTY )
( bathing suit – VS )
Hi hi hi
Happy Sunday! How was your weekend?
They FLY by, no? Like – a blink and it’s over. It’s incredible.
We ( me and BA ) had a pretty busy weekend.
We’re moving soon, so it’s been hectic trying to order everything and figure out what to bring and what not to bring, and just all those little details you need to have done to move in.
I’m a horrible planner, but luckily Bill is like the God of all planners.
He is on top of EVERYTHING. I’m like twirling my ponytail in the background while he plans away. Opposites attract, right?
I’m really into face masks and turmeric right now.
Not combined. Is that a thing? I need to know – let me know if you know.
But like, the obsession is coming in hot.
If you follow along on snapchat then you know all about this turmeric obsession and the homemade blueberry kefir face mask with a side of my dog.
I thought I was going to hate it. No lie. My mom made it last week and the color threw me off.
I was like afraid to try it.
I was wrong. This drink is TOP NOTCH.
THANKS MOM. ( as always )
I’ve been kind of spicing it up by adding chia seeds and what not so I’ll be sure to post it for you guys soon.
I’m obsessing though, for real. Like, the combo of this tea is just YUM. And the benefits are on point.
I get so swollen after drinking or a bad night of eating, so I’m really digging the anti-inflammatory benefits of this drink.
Anyway – post on that will come soon.
Onto the mask, shall we?
Obviously I don’t write about things I don’t like.. or put them all over my face for 30 minutes.
I used to always buy face masks until I started making them at home. The ones you buy are definitely easier to stick on your face and they aren’t as like, drippy?
BUT. I feel such a bigger difference with the ones I make at home. I really really love the feeling the next morning after doing a homemade mask. My skin is SO soft.
So you gotta give and take, you know?
+ kefir ( I use plain )
You can use any natural honey, but I used Manuka. Remember the manuka honey post on everything I do with it?
A mask is always one of those things.
OKAY ready? Let’s do it.
+ put a couple spoonfuls of kefir into a bowl
+ mash up blueberries ( TIP: you can heat them up to make it easier )
+ mix them all together with a spoonful of honey
+ rub it on your face and leave it for about 30 minutes
+ the probiotics in kefir have an anti-inflammatory effect, so it’s going to help with skin inflammation like breakouts while restoring the balance of good bacteria to your face.
+ the blueberries are filled with antioxidants ( if you are signed up for my newsletter you just got the antioxidant snack hack this week – blueberries galore, huh? ) and they help to even out your skin tone ( buh-bye blotches ) and prevent wrinkles, uh yes please.
+ oh honey honey, the natural antibacterial – moisturize and glow! also – prevent the skin from aging.
All of the ingredients in this mask are GREAT for acne.
I got lucky enough that I never really had acne issues, but I always use this mask when it’s that time of month – buh bye breakouts.
( POST-MASK the next morning, ahhhh )
SO yup – go do it. It’s like waking up with a fresh new face, yummy.
Quick side note: another obsession lately – high tops. I want them ALL.

& of course, don’t forget.. BALANCE.
Ben & Jerry’s Saturday night, green juice Sunday morning.
Me and BA have the whole balance thing down pretty well.
Happy Sunday guys xx
