Happy Monday.. already?
I’m into it though. I like new weeks so I can refresh myself, you know? Like ignore what I ate over the weekend and restart..
How was your weekend? Me and BA had people over to introduce the new place to everyone, so I “had to” indulge a little bit. Lots of champagne, little bit of grapefruit juice.
Super fun though! Definitely woke up a tad bit swollen.. but there’s worse things in life, right? Just made myself a de-bloat smoothie, threw on some Kiehl’s facial fuel eye de-puffer ( this shit is life changing ), and went on with my swollen day.
I put the eye de-puffer on after a night of drinking or a morning after being up way too late to look presentable.. you know those days.
It makes me feel refreshed and I love the glowy-ness it gives to your skin. It’s VERY important on certain days to have that stuff available – VERY VERY important.
I’m honestly pretty obsessed with anything that reduces bloat or swelling. On any part of my body.
Like I don’t want anything to do with rings stuck on my fingers after a night out because my hand is all of a sudden a balloon. You know?
Been there done that.
I get SO SWOLLEN.
That’s what forced me to start drinking tons of water all day long.. and luckily it’s helped so much.
& if you follow on snap you know how I’m making drinking water all day easier – CUTE WATER BOTTLES.. duh! I know what you’re thinking. I’m not dumb.. I promise.
I’m not kidding though, it really helps. I have this obsession with water bottles. I literally have a cabinet just for them. And having a cute water bottle to carry around all day just makes it that much easier to drink more water. I swear by it. I could fight you on this all day long I’m so dead serious about it LOL.
The Lululemon is great for all day use or workouts – obviously crazy cute, too.
The klean kanteen is awesome for all day use – the sippy top ( is that what it’s called? ) is my favorite part. It just makes it.. easier to drink. Like a child, I know.
& the s’well… come.on. Sometimes I even put my smoothies in this thing because it keeps them so cold all day long!
I carry one of those with me every single day and just keep refilling it. It’s a game changer.. get on the cute water bottle bandwagon ASAP.
OK I’m done raving about water bottles.. onto the real ish.
Continuing on from my bikini season motivation post, I’m going to show you exactly how I’m putting my de-bloat tips to work. It can be so easy to read tips & tricks online, but so hard to actually do them. I totally get that. Much easier said then done, as always.
Again, I’m not dieting. I’m not counting calories. I’m not eliminating anything from my diet. Instead, I’m watching what I eat & reading ingredients. I’m making replacements instead of eliminating. I’m just.. being better about things.
And no, I am not a nutritionist who has all the facts and science information behind it all. I’m just a girl super into health & wellness who reads a shit ton of books and really found what works for me. So, I’m sharing it with you. Simple.
I’m thinking about doing a week where I write down every.single.thing that I eat and drink throughout the day and sharing that with you guys. What do you think? No bullshitting, just a quick guide to show exactly how I’m replacing things and EATING. ( Remember when I got up close and personal with my phobia and anxiety journey ? Eat when you are hungry. Always! )
OK ANYWAY. I told you about my favorite de-bloating tips in the bikini season motivation post, now let me tell you exactly how I’m doing it.
+ WATER INTAKE. ( CUTE WATER BOTTLES – OBVIOUSLY. ) DRINK IT ALL DAY LONG! EVEN IF YOU ARE JUST SIPPING IT. OUR BODIES RETAIN WATER WE HAD HOURS AGO IF WE AREN’T DRINKING MORE. SO WITHOUT ENOUGH, OUR BODIES WILL BLOAT. ALSO, DRINK A GLASS RIGHT WHEN YOU WAKE UP. ( THIS CAN BE HARD, BUT TRY TO GET USED TO IT. IT’S HELPED ME SO MUCH. ) TRY ADDING LEMON. REMEMBER HOT LEMON WATER ? UP THE STOMACH ACID, UP THE BREAKDOWN OF FOOD, DOWN THE BLOATING.
+ IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE TASTE.. TAKE A SHOT OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR IN THE MORNING. IT’S GOING TO KICK START YOUR DIGESTION AND HELP WITH BLOATING. IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TASTE, PUT IT IN YOUR SMOOTHIES. I PERSONALLY PUT IT IN MY LEMON WATER IN THE MORNING BECAUASE I DON’T MIND THE TASTE ANYMORE. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, MAKE SURE IT HAS ‘THE MOTHER’ SO ALL THE GOOD BACTERIA IS IN IT.
+ EATING FAST.. BIG BIG SIGH. I USED TO EAT SUPER FAST. LIKE, I WOULD ALREADY HAVE A FORKFUL OF FOOD IN MY MOUTH BEFORE THE BITE BEFORE WAS SWALLOWED. NOW I SLOW MY ROLL A BIT. I TALK WHEN I EAT, IT HELPS ME NOT SHOVE THINGS INTO MY MOUTH. REMEMBER HOW TO STOP EATING LIKE SHIT WHEN YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND ? HAVE CONVERSATIONS! IT REALLY HELPS. AND IF YOU ARE ALONE, JUST TAKE SMALLER BITES. PORTION SIZE IS HUGE. ALSO, TRY SNACKING THROUGHOUT THE DAY INSTEAD OF EATING HUGE MEALS, THAT’S WHAT I DO. I ALWAYS HAVE SOME SORT OF SNACK WITH ME. ( TRAIL MIX, BANANA, BARS, ETC. ) IT’S REALLY HELPED ME NOT INDULGE SO MUCH AND OVERFLOW A PLATE OF FOOD BECAUSE MY STOMACH IS BASICALLY EATING ITSELF BY THAT TIME.
+ FIBER INTAKE IS ALSO HUGE, IF YOU READ THE BIKINI SEASON MOTIVATION POST YOU KNOW I’M NOT INTO TOO MUCH FIBER.. PERSONALLY. I WOULD SHOVE ANYTHING WITH FIBER DOWN MY THROAT THINKING IT WAS GOING TO CAUSE ALL GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN.. NO NO. MY BODY HAD A REALLY HARD TIME DIGESTING IT ( I WASN’T DRINKING ENOUGH WATER WITH IT AT THE TIME ) AND I WOULD BLOAT LIKE CRAZY. DRINK WATER WITH FIBER! I’VE FOUND THIS TO HELP A LOT. IT HELPS TO MOVE IT ALONG. I WATCH MY FIBER INTAKE DAILY NOW. TOO MUCH JUST WASN’T WORKING FOR ME.
+ POTASSIUM – I GET IT DAILY FROM COCONUT WATER. IT’S GOING TO FLUSH YOU OUT AND CLEAR OUT SODIUM, REMEMBER!? I ALWAYS OBSESS OVER POTASSIUM. YOU CAN ALSO GET IT FROM WTRMLN WTR ! ( CHECK OUT THE 5 THINGS IN COLD PRESSED WATERMELON YOU’LL LOVE . I DRINK IT AFTER WORKOUTS! )

I always find it easier to go off of a something written down instead of just trying to change everything I’m doing? These are super simple things that you can put into your daily routine to help you with bloating. I would love to know what you guys are doing or if any of these work for you!
