You guys know by now I love a good smoothie. Like, love.
I also heard this awesome idea the other day – pack your smoothie ingredients (for one smoothie) in a bag or container and put it in the freezer.. then when you go to make the smoothie you just have to add your powders..
You literally wake up and your smoothie is basically made. And you can make like 7 of them and have your entire work week set.
What kind of genius thought of that and where have they been my entire life? I feel lost.
You probably know by now if you read Champagne in Church that I can’t stand prepping my food forever. I just isn’t for me. Remember prepping without going batshit? Yeah, it’s a thing.
I’m also late to a lot of things. I’m just not as prepared for some things as I am for others. And I suck at timing things right. Thankfully BA is the complete opposite and is kind of anal annie about being on time (huge eye roll). He keeps me on my toes. But that’s why I love a good time saving trick. I need them all.
Ok so yeah, that smoothie idea is banging and I’m like beyond words about it. It’s really, really the simple things in life that get me going.
SO DUH I’m giving you one of my favorite green smoothie recipe. Follow on snap for all the random ones I make – always sharing them with you guys!
+ handful of frozen cauliflower
+ handful of spinach
+ 1 scoop of vega one protein powder (I use vanilla chai)
+ 1 cup of cashew milk
+ cucumber slices – about 10
+ 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
+ 1 scoop of collagen (optional)
+ water if needed
That’s it.. and it keeps me full for a while!
Sometimes I’ll add a tablespoon of peanut butter powder if I’m feeling it but I haven’t been lately – it’s good with or without (in my opinion).
I like to add the the frozen cauliflower instead of banana because I eat fruit during the day and I can get super bloated from that. It’s a really easy replacement and you can’t taste the cauliflower at all. It gives the smoothie that ice cream-y feel, you know?
And, of course, cauliflower is super beneficial so that’s a plus plus plus.
Sidenote: I tried acupuncture the other day for anxiety – holy SHIT. I’m already obsessed.
I’ll write about it soon, I just started so I want to go more and get a better feel for it.
But when I say already obsessed, I mean already OBSESSED.
ALSO – the CIC e-book is launching within the next two weeks, stay tuned!
