WHAT UP YOU GUYSSSSS.
You probably know from the (previous post) that I’m heading to New Orleans this weekend. If you didn’t get a chance to read it, check it out! I give my MAJOR go-to must have travel bag essentials.
My purse is always prepped and prepared for ANYTHING. I’m a purse packer pro. For real. Just a horrible suitcase clothes packer.. you can’t win ’em all.
But ya, my purse is top notch with essentials. Things you don’t think you’ll need, let me tell ya.. you’ll need them. Bring that coconut spray and banana. I even go as far as doing eye masks on plane rides. So that’s that.
This is always a dilemma. It’s hard, isn’t it?! Like, you obviously want to look cute. But you NEED to be comfortable. You can’t be too dressed up because than you look.. you know.. too much. It’s a very hard battle between outfits when leaving for the airport (in my opinion).
I, personally, have found my best travel outfits over the past few years from random shit being thrown together last minute.
Looking decent and put together is key for me instead of just rolling out of my bed and going to the airport (which I don’t judge because I have totally done that.. one too many times). But hear me out, I feel like if I look ok then I feel ok. If I look like shit, I feel like shit. And I’m not a huge fan of flying.. so looking put together will help my mind. LOL. It’s like psychology class all over again.
I do layers, always. I have a t-shirt or a tank top on, and a light layer on top of that. Whether it is a workout jacket, a light sweater, a light jacket, etc.
I make sure my t-shirt is comfortable. It’s meant to be loose and freeing – you need room to breathe on travel days. TAKE IT IN and stop sucking in!
I usually go with a big t-shirt (I steal BA’s) and I just tie them. It’s very Kendall Jenner-ish. CRAZY comfy and it makes the shirt have some style.
Most of the time, my top layer is a cute jacket. It makes the ‘not so cute but comfortable’ t-shirt look more like an actual outfit. Don’t get me wrong.. I love a good workout look, but I’m typically going for a cuter style on a plane. Don’t ask me why. I’m kind of psycho.
Still super casual, but very cute.
Lulu leggings are my go to. Comfortable and adorable. And you can wear ANY shoe with them. Chic flats, old flip flops, sneakers, hightops, whatever the hell you want. EASY.
I think the whole cute luggage thing makes a huge difference.
Think of your luggage as your sidepiece. Like the purse or bag you use daily.
Having a good looking sidepiece never hurt anyone, RIGHT?
It just ups your outfit game. It takes my totally casual look and makes it cuter. I’M SERIOUS. It’s like jewelry for traveling.
I also always, always, ALWAYS do sunglasses. I hardly ever do my makeup when I travel so I need to sometimes.. cover up. You know how it goes.
Sunglasses are just key. They make any outfit look better, in my opinion.
WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WEARING.
