I go for the casual t-shirt look more than most. I’m all for wearing the clothes I stuff into my closet to hold hostage (I need to declutter that somehow – tips?) but sometimes, a good ol’ t-shirt does the trick, it just gets the job done.
Comfort. Cuteness. Check. Check.
Now – don’t get me wrong – pain is beauty (or whatever that saying is, beauty is pain?) and I definitely torture my feet in heels here and there, let my boobs get stuck in a bra that pushes them some weird way, zip a dress a bit too tight, where a low-v a bit too low, where a tank-top a bit too annoying.
Then, I revert back to the pile of t-shirts I have in the corner of my crowded closet, every single time. Comfort. Cuteness.
They take away all of the insecurities (not that you, me, or anyone should have them – but it’s life, and we do). They put you back in your zone without making you look like you didn’t change after bed today. I swear.
I call them the not-so-basics. Not so basic basics. Super basic, just a t-shirt, but super trendy.
Let’s take a look, shall we?
Concert tee’s: they are perfect with jean shorts, jeans, or even skirts. Tucked in the front a tad, hanging loose, or tied by your side to show a little love to the lower stomach. I wear them in all different ways, which makes them easier to wear more than once (a lot.. a real lot..).
+ ramones tee
+ classic kiss tee
+ led zeppelin tee
+ ac/dc tee (a fav)
Regular tee’s: and, of course, I have a pile (or three) of basic t-shirts that I turn into a not-so-basic outfit.
+ free people white tee
+ brunette/blonde lounge tee
+ free people boyfriends tee
+ basic v-neck tee
& P.S. the shorts I pair mine with all summer are here.
Did I miss cute ones?
